Running IR Collaborate Software on a Nutanix Windows Server and I need to know how to “Whitelist” the IR Application; Configuration of the application involves running Scripts on a Cisco Cluster for monitoring and a Desktop Client; I can’t execute the scripts or login to the desktop client without “Whitelisting” it -

Hello,

I hope you're well.

I'm unsure what you mean here, re whitelisting the application? A Windows server on Nutanix is just a Windows server. Unless you're running any additional software such as Flow etc. it shouldn't be any different from any other Windows server. Can you show us the requirements?

Hello Kim;

Trying to run IR’s UC collaborate Software and Some sort of Virus Scan is running preventing the Installation, so I assumed it’s something that needs to be turned off at the Nutanix Level? Thanks for the note -

Here’s what’s running:

  • Windows Defender Antivirus Network Inspection Service
  • Windows Defender Antivirus Service
  • Windows Defender Firewall

IS there something else that prevents Software installation at the Nutanix Windows Server level?

Windows Version : Windows Server 2019 Standard Evaluation (Build 6.3.17763)

The issue you are having is a windows problem, not nutanix.  Nutanix will not restrict anything installed on the Windows server.

Seems you have to look into the guest OS environment as Nutanix is not blocking anything inside guest OS. some of points you can check

  • any application whitelisting application on windows guest VM, like carbon black etc
  • Group Policy blocking script execution
  • EDR solution if installed
  • Antivirus on guest VM

Thanks; Was permissions @ the Windows Server user…
