Hi.

If one of my Hard Disk spoiled in one of a node but 1 of VM is sitting inside.

Do we have any downtime to recover? or how nutanix will recover it?

For Nutanix best practice is 1 cluster have 3 nodes or 4 nodes? Why ?

Thank you

James,
Thanks for reaching out. If I understand you correctly, you're asking how Nutanix responds to a failed harddrive.

If so, check out section 3.2.6 Data Path Resiliency in the Nutanix Bible, that contains deep detail on how we handle various failures.

james79 no downtime happen when one of your disk failed
NDFS will replicate your data to each member of cluster known as Replication Factor (RF)RF ensure data redundancy and availability in the case of node or disk failure
RF 2 need minimum 3 nodes to start
RF 3 need minimum 5 nodes to start
Please check Nutanix Bible as Jon suggest
