About IPMI,CVM,ESXI default password

Dears,
I thinks all the default password can be changed to custermized one, but it seems need some addtional special step after change any password ?
I want to confirm this true or not ? if true , the step ?

thanks for your response, It seems I can modify password of CVM,PRISM and ESXI directly without additonal steps. but If change IPMI password, it must be updated in CVM too.

Yes, that is correct, we use SSH Keys internally for CVM and ESXi, but IPMI doesn't really support that, so you have to follow a handful of extra steps on IPMI.

Hi Jon,

I have multiple issues (all posted here in forum). I can't access the link you posted here.
Do you know any way I can recover or reset the password for the CVM user "nutanix"?

Ok I just solved it. After reading tons of Linux articles I found this:

1. Basically I logged in with my PRISM "admin" account
2. I ran: su root - pasword = nutanix/4
3. passwd nutanix

Works :)
I tried a couple of times to log in with root and nutanix/4u directly via putty which didn't work but the "su root" command works.
