Intel NUC 10th Gen USB NIC

Hi All
I have x3 node Intel NUC gen10 cluster which is working nicely. It's running off the onboard 1Gb NIC but am keen to add StarTech USB 3.0 Dual Port Gigabit Ethernet Adapter so I can split off storage from management. Has anyone been able to load the drivers so it becomes available to the AHV on each host?

Any input would be appreciated.

Hello @RidgewayIT Tom,

Nutanix does not support USB or device passthrough on all platforms.

Please refer to the below document and let me know if you have any more questions

Hi Tapati,

This is an interesting one. We’re not actually trying to ‘pass through’ the USB network device (although it’s interesting to know it’s not supported here!).

We’re simply trying to find some instructions to load the drivers for this network card to the hypervisor so the adaptors can be used.

For example, with ESXi, we would accomplish this with a VIB file. In AHV, I do not know how to do this.
