Hi, I need to open port 135 (Port mapper for RPC communication), because I have this error:  In the files server the port is closed: PORT     STATE  SERVICE80/tcp   open   http111/tcp  open   rpcbind135/tcp  closed msrpc445/tcp  open   microsoft-ds2049/tcp open   nfs5989/tcp closed wbem-https8000/tcp closed http-alt And, also I need to remove NFS option, but I can’t. Thanks!! 

Why can't I add a new folder？

Open connection for a file share shows 150+ open connection in PE where in it shows zero connections  while accessing through windows share folder. So can some please shed some light on this.

We have an Oracle EBS web server on IBM AIX. Server storage is obtained through the Nutanix Files service. The observation is as follows: Our users have reported repetitive disconnections while working on the application since migrating server storage from old FC storage to Nutanix Files "ISCSI" storage. We followed many leads like timeout settings, patch and update Apache WEB server version and JVM ... until we come to the conclusion that after the connection of more than about 90 users, the disconnection problem arises.I wanted to know, if there are any recommendations, workaround for an Apache WEB server with non FC storage such as Nutanix Files?

Do we need to configure the AD authentication in PE Settings to fully connect Nutanix Files in AD?  

i have created a root share name as ABC and I have 4 subfolder names as A1, B1, C1, and D1, i have create short cut of all 4 subfolder and it shows to user as root folders.i want to apply disk quota on 4 subfolder names as A1, B1, C1, and D1, please suggest

Tried to deploy File Analytics VM about a month ago on my community edition cluster, it has been stuck since then at the ‘Create File Analytics VM’ task and the whole task is at 40% in Prism Element. I have ran an ‘ecli task.list’ but there are no tasks listed as kRunning or Kfailed for this deployment.

I am getting Alert A160143: Warning: File Server Replication Job is stuck/idle,Warning: DR dataset replication job 8 has been idle for 2 hours. Out of the 20+ shares, four shares have replication jobs stuck, three at 0% and one at 90%.Any idea how to stop/restart a file server replication job?(Case# 01799860)

Nutanix file server automatically going on increasing storage space.  and crossed Resilient Capacity limitation.

Hi. Is there a way to create an alert policy for capacity threshold warning for files? 

When Nutanix Files is configured, a legacy Protection Domain is created automatically on the cluster by default.Around 20 other workloads are protected through Prism Central Data Protection using categories, with a daily protection policy and a retention period of two days.My understanding is that Prism Central VM (PCVM), Controller VM (CVM), and File Server VMs (FSVMs) do not support Prism Central snapshot-based protection, and categories cannot be assigned to them.This configuration had been working seamlessly for several months. However, one day I noticed that the FSVMs were unexpectedly showing a Protected state in Prism Central → Data Protection → VMs. No changes had been made to the protection policies or categories, so I am trying to understand why the FSVMs are now being displayed as protected.If someone having the solution or workaround then please share.

Why Nutanix Data Lens does not support cloned file server?

Hello,Before doing a massive change on a share, I would like to manually create an SSR snapshot to rollback if needed.I searched in Files documentation, in this forum, in AFS CLI. Nothing relevant. Someone has an idea how to do this ?Thanks

Is there a way to generate a report in File Analytics v3.2.0 based on a specific file name - for example ‘java.exe’?I’m only seeing the option to filter on ‘file extension’ and that would obviously generate more than I want.
