The Nutanix MCS Plug-in seems not to workwith latest VDA release of XenDesktop 7.11. Can you confirm this incompatability? Is there a newer Version of the Plug-in that works with XenDesktop 7.11?
Hi Everyone, We currently run our XenDesktop 5.6 Environment with Unidesk 2.1 and have only one main issue that we would like to see resolved. With Unidesk the VMDX disks (which contain the layer information) are classed as non-persistent drives. As a result when re reboot the Virtual Destkop VM the power on process can talk anywhere between 10-15 minutes - if these disks were persistent - power on is considerably quicker. I have read (ut unable to find the link) that this has been accepted as a VMware issues and currently being worked on - Can anyone shead some light on this as to when VMware will be resolving the problem Cheers Damon
if I want to select a connection type for connect to Hypervisor Acropolis and Provisioning desktop via using PVS, how i will be to choose the connection type?
Is NCI-VDI licensed\available in the latest Community Edition of Nutanix?I’d like to get more familiar with the VDI solution, so I’m hoping I can install it in my lab as part of your latest Community Edition. Thanks
Does anyone have info how Nutanix is difrerent to Atlantis UCX SDS solution pls?
Specs: Citrix App Layering Version: 4.11 AOS: 5.5 Prism Central: 5.5 We are running into an issue when creating new app layers and platform layers after upgrading to 5.5. If I disconnect our clusters from prism central, the creation process works. The app layering appliance appears to have issues creating a packaging VM on the nutanix clusters as prism central is now managing the CRUD operations, as opposed to being managed strictly by the cluster. The error message we get in app layering is: The Nutanix server has encountered a failure processing the request: (500) Error: Internal Server Error, Details: Error occurred while creating Disk Image I'm not the most familiar with the low end nutanix platform, and where to search for logs, but it appears to be caused by the centralized image managed, or the centralized VM management function of prism. Has anyone else ran into this issue, or possibly know when this will be fixed? Citrix's response is lackluster (as usual), a
I'm looking at using Cisco IP Communicator on a Horizon View persistant desktop and would like some input on what others suggest for voice traffic prioritization. Some options I see: 1> Saying "It's on 10GB, it's fine" 2> Using a separate network (port group and VLAN) specifically for voice on a VSS with 1GB uplinks 3> Using a separate network (port group and VLAN) specifically for voice on a VDS with 1GB uplinks pinned to the port group 4> Using a separate network (port group and VLAN) specifically for voice on a VDS with 10GB uplinks 5> Using a separate network (port group and VLAN) specifically for voice on a VDS with 10GB uplinks and traffic prioritization on the TOR switches for the voice VLAN using IP Precedence (differentiated services code point [dscp]) audio priority. Any thoughts community?
Is there a way to set uefi_boot=True as the default, replacing BIOS? Or how can I create a VM clone or template that has that set so that when I create or have a user through SSP create a new VM that is already configured as UEFI instead of BIOS? Thanks
Apologies if I have posted in the wrong area but this seem Citrx related so here goes. I wil be switching from VMware to Nutanix AHV native hypervisor in the coming weeks. If anyone has already done this, can they advise on the steps they took to port over a version of Netscaler running on VMware (vSphere 5.5) to Acropolis Hypervisor on Nutanix? Not aware of any native tools that can handle that. The only other way would be to back off this config (never tried it) and upload onto a native vanilla install of the Netscaler based on KVM and uploading the config somehow. Any advice would be grateful.
Hello, i've realized a project with two nutanix cluster and Horizon VDI with static desktop.Desktop are replicated with protection domain between two sites. Someone know if in Nutanix there is a method to add automatically desktops to a protection domain? Thank you and best regards Luca
We are performing a POC at a customer site using a 3 node DELL XC720xd cluster. The statistics taken from Vcenter show an average read letency around 1 ms and a write latency aroud 5-6 ms. The write latency seems way too high since it should just make 2 writes (base and replica) on SSD. I wonder if the CVM has a timer before it flushes the pending writes to the oplog. This could help generally speaking to reduce the number of I/O and increase the size which is good for SSD. Unfortunatey in our POC we are fighting against the current configuration of server with Fusion-IO PCI cards and this approach could be a disadvantage. Another important parameter is the logon time which average at 35-40 sec on the current system and goes up to 75 sec with Nutanix. Any suggestion to speed up the Nutanix Cluster may be modifying some parameter?
Hello, i think about Citrix PVS on Nutanix All-Flash Blocks with Acropolis Hypervisor. But there is no offical support for AHV, which means that i have to run VMware or Hyper-V on my Nutanix Cluster to use PVS. -> http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX202032 Is there any roadmap for this?
