Hey!Since the support for Nvidia Grid Release Branch 13.x ended in August ‘24 (NVIDIA Virtual GPU (vGPU) Software - NVIDIA Docs), we are curious about updating to a newer release branch.We are using pooled VDI machines mit vGPU Tesla T4 in our Nutanix environment so live-migration is a key feature. As live migration isn’t available in “newer” release branches by now i think we are stuck on this ‘unsupported-like’ constellation, aren’t we?Is there somebody else in this situation? From https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=NTNX-AHV-Plugin-Citrix:NTNX-AHV-Plugin-Citrix I don’t know that it’s a recent change in verbiage, however the last two Nutanix AHV Plugin for Citrix release notes have mentioned to upgrade “as soon as possible”… There’s no KBs relating to known scenarios that are resolved by upgrading to this version. I’m going to go out on a limb and ask if anyone knows if 2.7.7.0 of Nutanix AHV Plugin for Citrix impacts all AOS versions? There’s plenty of cloud-only phenomena that don’t impact on-prem “hybrid” clusters. Be nice to have some background other than “do it” before scheduling an outage for my CVAD services to upgrade a plugin.

Hi,our workplace management has access to Prism Central and to deploy software via Matrix42 they need the MAC address and the UUID but I can’t see the UUID in the GUI ?PC Version 2023.4In Elements the UUID is shown.Any idea ?Thanks in advance
Hi,We have a 3 Node Think Agile HX7820. Recently one of the CVMs crashed. When rebooted it showing an error . When diagnosed it seems the PCI driver issue we updated the firmware in bios so, there is no error from bios. When we try to start the CVM, it still showing same error. error: Device 0000:09:00.0 not found: could not access /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:09:00.0/config: No such file or directory
We have a Nutanix Frame POC in progress and we would want users to login to their VDI session using the Azure AD account (the machine would be joined to AzureAD / Entra).Is this possible / supported with Nutanix Frame ? Right now we have integrated okta in the Nutanix Frame portal, however the user still logs in using the “frame” user inside the VMSo if it’s possible, how? Is there documentation available on how to achieve this ?If not supported, why not ?Thank you
Hi, we currently have a 3-node cluster licensed with 50 VDI user-based licenses. We are planning to add another node to the same cluster and would like to know if we can do this without purchasing any VDI user-based licenses. VDI user license is based on maximum concurrent users, and we don't need more than 50 user licenses at the moment.

Hi,We’ll be shortly moving to Horizon Instant Clones running on our ESXi v7 U3c Nutanix cluster. I’ve been reading about the Parent VMs which Instant Clones put on each host and I’m a little concerned about how LCM will work in the future for performing tasks where it takes hosts in and out of maintenance mode in turn.There’s an old thread here that suggests doing only one host at a time and manually getting it to remove the parent VMs but I was wondering if that was still necessary.I did ask Support and they said “I have reviewed some information and as far I understand this shouldn’t be an issue on newer Horizon releases” but they sounded not entirely certain and gave a caveat about whatever VMware might say...VMware documentation refers to newer Horizon versions being generally OK but that host updating via VUM is an issue and even suggests disabling Parent VMs entirely if that is used. Is LCM similarly affected? What are other Instant Clone Nutanix admins doing nowadays?Thanks fo

I’m trying to create a PowerShell script that I can use to expand the hhd size of an existing VM. The goal is when we get a ticket in for a user to just run the script, expand the hhd and update the disk size in windows. I’ve got most of the details figure out, I’m just not finding much on expanding a HHD size.
Hello Everyone,I am trying to use a task sequence I made through MDT to capture a windows 10 image of one of my Nutanix VMs. I am using version 5.6.2 (I know, we are behind the times here). Everything goes fine until I reboot into WinPE after the SysPrep and I get the error that my deployment share can’t be found because my virtual NIC has no driver. I had this same error when initially PXE booting to install windows. I fixed it by injecting drivers directly into the LiteTouch wim, and mounting guest tools. I have the guest tools still mounted, but the error keeps popping up. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. I’m ripping out my hair here!
Dear All,We are using Frame with an on-pre AHV cluster. We have set up an account with domain-joined non-persistent instances. The sandbox is located in the same AD OU as the instances. Hence, it has the same GPOs applying. Our GPOs are not WMI filtered and do have standard security applied. GPOs are all enabled.The issue that we are seeing with GPO is the following. The settings in the GPO that is scoped to the computer objects are confirmed to be applying to the sandbox. also, on the sandbox, the settings seem to take effect as expected, e.g., when configured accordingly, News and Interests vanishes from the taskbar after a reboot.However, when I publish the sandbox and log on to one of the generated instances, the experience is different. I can still see that the registry setting that is corresponding to a specific GPO setting is present. GPRESULT also shows that the GPO is applying. However, the effect in the GUI is just not there. That is, News and Interests is still present on th
I need to mount a file to an existing linux VM appliance. We don’t have any file shares that this VM has access to, so was wondering if/how this can be done through prism element if possible.
We have the issue since Sunday that only some of the VMs power on after a scheduled Reboot via Citrix Studio (CVAD 1912 CU2). Of 9 Citrix VDA VMs only around 2-4 are starting each morning after receiving the power off and power on command via Citrix Studio for scheduled reboots. When this issue happens the following event is showing on the Citrix Delivery Controller: The description for Event ID 0 from source Nutanix VSS Software Provider cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.The following information was included with the event: Service started/resumedBefore and after this event other VMs can start without issue. Hi, there is a need to periodically install/update new release of the application to the Frame Sandbox. Currently it is done manually.I was not able to find a way to perform app upload and onboarding/publishing remotely (via REST API). I mean the app, which does not yet exist on Sandbox.Is there any way to workaround this, so that every app release could be automatically deployed to Frame account using CI/CD pipeline (e.g. Jenkins + python script)?Any idea is appreciated.
I’m having trouble with MCS and AHV. The power status of the VM’s on the nutanix host does not update. If i shut down a VM from Citrix Studio, It will shutdown, but the power status shows “On” Causing alot of trouble. When running a Machine Catalog test im getting this error: Make sure that the selected Virtual Machine exists. The VM exists in the Hypervisor. There will be 2 Citrix Clusters , one for VDI and one for VDA (Virtual APPs), for 500 users.How to license 1st Nutanix Cluster (VDI) with EUC license ,and 2nd Nutanix Cluster (VDA) with EUC? or we should use core NCI ?

We are underway of evaluation XI Frame framework. We have create shortcut to the separate pages from the chrome (“Create shortcut...”) option in order to allow users to open chrome with predefined URL for example: Support or Tutorial web page.After onboarding shortcuts and publishing image we configured Launchpad to run in Application mode.When we open Launchpad by URL from the user side we can see onboarded shortcuts but unable to open chrome with predefined link.
