As many of us know, and some are becoming more aware, the traditional IT infrastructure is outdated. Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) is on the scene and changing the way we think about our environments. Thus, enterprises are planning their next move. They are looking to minimize risk and cost — which are both currently huge with legacy systems in place — and maximize agility by going virtual.

With these new priorities, IT departments are being pressured to shift gears and find a solution that will fit into budget and resource constraints on top of their already heavy daily workloads. Sound familiar? The good news is that Nutanix is easing the growing pains by providing HCI to enterprise customers looking to scale.

Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) is leading the charge by delivering virtualization capabilities for these enterprises that are refocusing their attention from legacy solutions to the cloud space. Multi-cloud environments allow businesses to eliminate storage silos and dedicated management — essentially freeing up storage space and staffing resources for the much-needed business development projects that routinely end up on the bottom of the to-do list. AHV also includes data protection fail safes via snapshots and remote replication capabilities.

But, with the sheer scalability of an enterprise, there’s a massive amount of data at risk and potential downtime on the line that these IT departments need to consider. The Nutanix Acropolis infrastructure requires enterprise-class, agentless Availability for complete protection.

Nutanix teamed up with Veeam to address the Availability Gap, the gap between what users expect and what IT can deliver. They’ve equipped customers with the peace of mind that comes with an all-encompassing solution for Hyper-Available HCI. Nutanix enterprise customers are now free from the data protection headaches that keep IT Admins awake at night. Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV, part of the Veeam Availability Platform, was specifically designed for Nutanix users. It includes an easy-to-use web-based UI that has the same look and feel that Nutanix users are familiar with.

Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV actually utilizes the same snapshots that Nutanix generates to ensure super-fast backups. These two solutions allow customers to experience frequent, fast backups from Nutanix AHV snapshots, with even faster recoveries of entire VMs, individual files and application items.

Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV is operationally simple. Users are comfortable with it because there is familiarity baked in by design. The application-first mindset that was forefront in the development of this joint solution provides the critical benefits we’re looking for in an enterprise-class solution. Concerns like risk of data loss across entire infrastructure stacks and management costs associated with legacy infrastructure and data protection are addressed and handled. Enterprise customers now have the opportunity to not only make strides by transitioning to HCI, but to also protect and nurture that investment with Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV.

Veeam is honored partner with Nutanix and looks forward to providing customers with Hyper-Availability for ALL applications and data. For more information on Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV, visit us at www.veeam.com.
