Hi

Got the email announcing the Sizer tool earlier and took a bit of time to play with it. Depending on how I use the tool I am running into a "limits" error:

The Nutanix solution can scale well beyond the limits of this sizer. Please contact us for your own custom sizing exercise.

Not sure if this is me abusing the tool, you guys still working on some minor details or just a limitation :D

I would also love to see the possibility to add custom vCPU and Memory configuration in the Server Virtualization workload. The fields are there, but greyed out. Sometimes I do see the option popping up for "custom". Some strange behaviour ..

Besides that I am glad to see that it more or less matches the configuration as we went for before the Sizer tool. Well done!

As a reference: I am using Chrome v39 (64-Bit) on Win8.1

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your feedback. Allowing for arbitrary custom configuration may result in recommendation that is counter-intuitive to the user. If you have a custom requirement, we ask that you contact Nutanix Sales. We have internal version of sizing tool that allows many custom and advanced configuration parameters. Our sales rep will use it to size your custom workload.

Best,
Subash

Hey Laura,
I made a feature request directly from the sizer tool last week, however I thought I'd follow up here as well.

Can you please look into a way to import an RVTools export (xls / csv) directly into the sizing tool? BEarena do a lot of work sizing existing customer workload requirements based on vCPU, vRAM, Disk size etc. We use all the tools available to us but see real value in expanding the sizer tool capabilties further, maybe open a more advanced version to Partners only?

Thanks

Darryl

Dear All,
For VDI sizing,
Does the sizing include all infrastructure and management servers, or it's only for virtual desktops?
Best Regards,
Wanley
