Believe your 6.9g (fake USB) should be set to SATA or ide. Change that and try again.

as for ce.img .
SCSI prevents CE from booting .

you should change SCSI to SATA controller .

see Tips3

Is there a /tmp/NTNX... out file? Seems like the CVM isn't starting honestly.

And what is the hardware you are running this on? 8 procs and 32gb of memory is a lot for a desktop, but maybe you have a beefy workstation?

nested esxi 6.5 on vmware workstation with 8 cores and 32gb ram

Yup, but what is the real physical hardware below workstation? still 8 core and 32G? If so you need to make the nesting VM smaller so you don't page the VMs to your physical hard drive which could be part of the problem.

Cool workstation can do that config.

Did you look for the tmp file? Teeing get an idea of what is happening in the cvm.

So that looks like the cvm is started? Maybe I am misunderstanding your issue?

not started when It reboots not give the ip address in the login banner

What is in "virsh list --all"?

Unsure on the IP address in login banner concern. Normally the hostname is the AHV hostname appended w "-cvm" which agreed isn't there either.

From the AHV shell can you ssh to 192.168.5.2?

virsh list --all show the cvm is running I can ssh to 192.168.5.2 I use nutanix and password nutanix/4u but login failed .When I start the installation it requires 2 ips only one ip accessable via ssh and the prisme ip not pingable and not open via http 9440 ports. So what to do next ?

Do you mean the AHV IP and the CVM IP? The host uses root and the CVM uses nutanix as the user.

So you can login to the Host as root and then attempt to SSH using the internal network interface (.2) but the nutanix user seems to have an issue? And the public IP of the CVM is not accessible either.

The console shots above are the cat of the /tmp/NTNX... file correct? They look like the boot results of the AHV and not the CVM as I would have expected nutanix-ce-CVM as the hostname. Wondering if that dash in the hostname is tossing some parser or something. Maybe try and install with just a plaintext hostname?
