A Focus on SAP and Nutanix at this Year’s .NEXT – Your Opportunity to Go Deep
This blog was authored by Greg White, Solution Marketing Principal at Nutanix
For those that have already committed to join us at the Gaylord National outside Washington, DC from June 26th-28th, you may have noticed that there are more ties to SAP than you might expect or have seen at previous Nutanix events. For those that are still on the fence, maybe the information here, plus the opportunity for networking and learning, whether it is SAP or other workloads, will help you make the commitment to join us.
The focus on business critical SAP deployments isn’t new to Nutanix. We were the first hyperconverged platform certified for SAP Business Suite and have helped customers ever since to take advantage of the benefits of the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform for SAP landscapes and associated RDBMS including Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP ASE, and IBM DB2.
You will have the opportunity to learn about SAP application servers running on Nutanix Enterprise Clouds in the Nutanix booth on the show expo. There will be a demo station for our Enterprise Applications solutions which will include SAP-specific demos we also shared at SAP Sapphire NOW in May.
The big event is, of course, Bill McDermott, CEO for SAP, who will be speaking in the Thursday evening keynote. I can’t wait to hear his thoughts on leadership and building a great company and see the fireside chat with Nutanix CEO, Deeraj Pandey.
But, before that session, you have the opportunity to go deep on SAP and Nutanix in the breakout session, The Ins and Outs of Running SAP on Nutanix, with Krishna Kattumadam, the Senior Director for Solutions and Performance Engineering, and myself. We will cover business and technical aspects, including best practices, solution details, benefits of Nutanix for SAP landscapes, industry trends, right-sizing, availability, day 2 operations considerations and more. Don’t miss this session on Thursday 11:35-12:25. We also have other great sessions including:
The Need For Speed: Sizing And Scaling Nutanix For Performance (June 29 -- 12:40 PM - 1:30 PM; June 30 -- 10:05am–10:55am)
Oracle And Nutanix: How To Architect An Efficient Environment (June 28 -- 2:05 PM - 2:55 PM)
Finally, there will be opportunities for 1x1 meetings with our SAP experts at the event if you’d like to have a more specific conversation while there. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to take advantage of this benefit in person. If you can’t make it, but would like to have a discussion, send a note to the same address and we’ll get back to you. We look forward to helping make your SAP landscapes perform better, be easier to manage, have less downtime and make you more agile, and also to hopefully seeing you at the end of June.
