Foundation_VM-3.9.1 - login Authentication Failure

I downloaded Foundation_VM-3.9.1.tar from the Nutanix website today, extracted it, deployed it to our office ESXi server, launched it, and was greeted with the VM's login screen.  It says "nutanix-installer" and knows the account "nutanix", I click on that account and it wants the password. I type in "4u" (without quotes), which is what all documentation I can find says, and it says "Authentication failure".

Any ideas?

Hello,

The defaul password is usually nutanix/4u , can you try that.

Yes, that is what I tried, as it is listed in the documentation.

Re: Foundation_VM-3.9.1 - login Authentication Failure

Hello,

Just to be safe I downloaded Foundation 3.9.1 and created a VM from it and was able to login with user: nutanix and password: nutanix/4u

Without any issues. I would just double check the basics and make sure proper keystrokes are passing through, that caps lock is not on.

If you still have trouble I would recommend opening a case with support.

Thanks, we got it figured.  The password I was trying, as per my first message, is not the full password. Once I used the full password everything is working.
