Autoscaling in Nutanix

Does Nutanix AHV supports autoscaling like in AWS, VMware ?

I checked SSP documentation but it does not provides any information about auto scaling,

We are looking for,

Scenario 1

We have VM of 4 vCPU & 16 GB RAM, in case if the CPU, Memory load on VM increases up to the threshold defined, system should automatically increase CPU, Memory based on threshold value defined and will decrease it when load normalise.

Scenario 2

We have VM of 4 vCPU & 16 GB RAM, in case if the CPU, Memory load on VM increases up to the threshold defined, system should automatically spin up additional VMs and decommission it when load normalise.

Re: Autoscaling in Nutanix

Hi Jitendra,

The autoscaling feature u r looking is not native with any hypervisor, even VMware. It is achieved using monitoring and orchestration. AWS is a platform hence is capable of providing the feature, with VMware u need vRA+vRops or some thirdparty automation plugin which can monitor and deploy on demand additional VM or scale.

As with AHV same can be achieved using thirdparty, or calm (calm.io) can be used to do the same once it is out.
