Cluster Metrics Documentation

Hi

I am new.

I am trying to export histrocial cluster metrics at a high resolution for the last 9 months and have figured out that the way to get the data is via the V2 api.

I am struggling to find documentation for the "Metric" in the api. (see attached)

Please can someone point me in a direction to find the correct parameter values.

Regards

Re: Cluster Metrics Documentation

Hi @Chandru

Thanks for you reply.

I have adjusted the epoch time to be micro-seconds and that solved it.

Very emabarrasing. Smiley Frustrated

Many thanks for your help.

@carl-heinm You can find some documentation about the metrics from below link,

Re: Cluster Metrics Documentation

Thanks @Chandru!

I manged to find a metric on your link which seemed to worked.

I then ran the api for the last month at a 300s interval. (see attached)

I am now getting : "message": "No stats available for the specified time range"

I realise that asking the cluster for "controller_num_write_iops" is weird but I assume it would be additive between the hosts/nodes.

Any thoughts?Capture.JPG

Re: Cluster Metrics Documentation

@carl-heinm Prism only stores stats for the last 30 days. You need Prism Central to store more than 30 days data. Can you please try with < 30days time period?

Re: Cluster Metrics Documentation

@carl-heinm Another issue i noticed from your query is you are using Epoch time in secs but the API requires time in microseconds. Please add 6 zeros at the end of the Epoch time stamp to convert it to micro seconds.
